Persian Star, also known as Samarkand, is a standard Purple Stripe garlic. Persian star often has white/silver outer wrappers with colorful red tipped cloves. When the outer wrappers are removed, the red-tipped cloves resemble a star (hence the name). Pleasant mild taste profile that is great baked or eaten raw. Stores about 4-6 months. Yield approx. 8-12 cloves/bulb.
